Greetings...
From your shocked expressions, it makes me believe that you must be rather confused as to what it happening. Let me introduce us. You my call my brother and I, The Inhabitants, and we will be your guides to your possible deaths by playing a little game, a game orchestrated by the Baudeau Manor itself. You must understand, my brother ad I are loyal servants to the Manor and you, as guests and as intruders, must obey our rules or else perish.
The game we have arranged for you "countries" is simple: survival. There are no rules save for the fact that none of you may escape without first defeating your opponent. Sounds simple enough... except know this. The creature that my brother and I choose for you will want nothing but your blood, your flesh, and for your deaths.
You as a group must choose to work together if you want any chance of surviving or, for some of you, one of you will be given a choice, the instinctive choice of survival above all others... Meaning, that the one who is given this offer, now holds their companion’s fate in their hands.
Sacrifice the other to save yourself? Or choose to save them and die along side them when your creature succeeds in its death campaign....
Such a lovely game, my brother and I will enjoy watching you all play.
However, as we are loyal servants to the Manor, we have been instructed that if there are survivors who are able to vanquish our beloved creatures, we are to set you free from your room and.... give you a reward of our choosing.
Be warned. Not all rewards are glorious... this game is about choice.
Choose wisely and let the games begin....
Sincerely,
The Inhabitants
