The room was dark, but not dark enough to where he couldn’t see. There was just enough light to cause shadows to crawl over the wood work and all of the other shapes in the room. Closing the door behind him, Sadiq carefully walked in the room and looked around, trying to see if he could place anything. The floor creaked under his weight and he winced. He was trying not to make much noise, but it was unavoidable. Still he kept walking slowly across the floor, eyes darting back and forth, always on the lookout for other Nations that might be in the room, or any hidden monsters that were lurking to attack the second he dropped his guard. Walking to one of the bigger shadows in the room, he ran his hand over it. The material was relatively smooth to the touch, and cold. The material seemed to draw the coldness of the room upon itself. What was this item under his fingers. Continuing to move his fingers, Sadiq found the edge of the material and followed it, moving when he needed to to keep following the line of the material. Soon though, it curved down and a lip was found. Lifting what seemed like a lid, he continued to follow the path with his fingers. Odd, rectangular shapes were felt and he could see that somewhere white while the rest were dark. Pressing down on one of the white keys, a full tone filled the air. It was a piano.
Muscles tensed as the note rang clear through the air and seemed to fill the room; Sadiq looked around, hoping he didn’t wake anything that might have been slumbering in the room. Seeing nothing moving, he turned back to the piano, and stroking the cool material under his hand one more time, he headed off to check another shadow. This time his fingers ran along something that felt like wood. Feeling a gap, he nodded, knowing this could easily be a shelf. Fingers ran across something stiff and they hesitated once before picking it up. Bring it up to eyelevel; it was a dark, plain folder. With a breath, Sadiq blew the dust off and coughed when he accidently swallowed some of it. It tickled his throat and irritated it. After a few minutes, he managed to stop coughing and opened it up. Sheets of paper with lines and odd little shapes were in the folder. Staring at it for a bit, it dawned on him that it was music. It was music he couldn’t play. Setting the folder down with a sigh, he walked back over to the piano and set on the bench that was always with it. It seemed he was in the music room, one room that held no importance to him. Someone like Austria would appreciate it better. Austria? Austria was the one that liked music right? Who else liked music? Feliciano did, and so did Ludwig, and possibly Japan…
Japan. It had been a while since he had seen his friend. Sorting through his memory, the last time he had seen his Japanese friend was a little bit before all of this started. Sadiq had been fighting with Greece again, warning him to stay away from Japan. After that their fighting had went to normal, stupid things. Hell, if they let themselves, they would probably argue about what color the sky was. Smiling at the thought, he sighed and rested his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands, thinking about it all. He missed his friends. He missed Herc and Kiku. Where were they now? Were they surviving the manor well, or were they suffering and perhaps dead already. Shaking his head, he knew he couldn’t think like that. They were both survivors, they would survive this place and they would go back to hanging out, jus the three of them.
“Herc. Kiku. Where are you?”

Roderich had been looking around the second floor when he heard faint sounds of movement in the room next door. Alerted, mostly due to the surprisingly keen sense of hearing that he had developed, Roderich froze in his tracks. The brown-haired man hadn't yet checked the room next to the one he was currently in, a dusty bedroom that seemed to have been made for more than one occupant, and he had been certain that this part of the second floor had been deserted. Holding back a worried frown, the Austrian picked up the kerosene lamp he had been using thus far and decided to make sure that the manor wasn't up to its fiendish tricks again. And if it was, well Roderich was certainly not sticking around for that. He had so far managed to escape most of the trauma the manor had been inflicting upon the nations trapped in it and had no intentions to stop that lucky winning streak now of all times.
He left the bedroom, closing the door behind him and going out into the hallway with his right hand thrust forward, lighting the path ahead with the ancient kerosene lamp. How long had it been since he’d had to rely on this kind of lamp? The answer came back to Roderich’s head fuzzy, a number of decades; perhaps he had even used it in the last war during the days when the electricity had been cut off. That thought frame reminded him of the situation he was, a sitting duck now and a sitting duck then. And strangely left to fend for himself in the end. Where was Erzi or Ludwig or even Gilbert? Even the unique cackling he’d come to associate with Prussia would be a welcome break from the cold silence and the constant feeling of being watched that saturated every inch in this manor house.
Then a most familiar sound rang out. Roderich wasn't sure how long ago had he last heard the sound, as time seemed to dance around the manor, ignoring for the rest of the world. He tucked away a thought that suggested to him that was one thing he and the manor had in common, choosing to focus on the note. Whoever had pressed it didn't press any other key afterwards and so the note, what he thought was a la in sol bemolle, was the only evidence of a piano being in this house. Roderich felt conflicted about that thought. He was obviously fascinated with music, and the piano was among his favorite, if not his preferred instrument. This could very well be a trap set by the forces of the manor to catch him and torture him. But the previous occupants of the manor were obviously very well to do, even if the obnoxiously rococo style was not to his taste. They could have very well had a piano, as even the agrarian wealthy American southerners were probably expected to keep up to date in high culture.
His left hand paused over the knob, as his mind wasn’t sure of whether to take the risk of going in. At the very best, there was only another nation inside there and no leaping horror. At the very worst, these would be his last thoughts before death. Austria closed his orchid eyes from view and slowly turned the knob, hoping the thing behind it would be the former, not the latter. As he opened the door he heard words float out.
“Herc. Kiku. Where are you?”
The names were familiar to him as was that voice, belonging to a former enemy of his, although many among the nations had that title bestowed upon them. It was simply a regular thing among them. Roderich stepped inside and sighed in relief as the light coming from the lantern revealed that it was indeed Sadik. Roderich wasn’t sure how long ago had he last seen the masked man. Or any other nation, for that matter. It felt like he’d been walking the hallways of the manor for days, and without any rest.
“Türkei. What are you doing here by yourself?”

Sitting there in the darkness, Sadiq sighed. Staying in one place was useless. What were the chances that he would find someone just sitting here? Almost zero. Scratching an itch on the side of his neck, he hummed to himself before having to hide his eyes behind an arm. Light! If it was one of the monsters this would be the perfect time to get him, when he was blinded by the sudden light. It wasn’t very bright really, but his eyes had gotten use to the dark and any amount of sudden light would hurt them and make it hard to see.
“Türkei. What are you doing here by yourself?”
That voice was recognizable, even if he hadn’t heard it in a while. Who would forget a voice that he had heard so many times before, in battle, in meetings, and at general get togethers?
“Avusturya. As good as it is to see a friendly Nation, shine the light elsewhere, I can’t see a blasted thing.”
He didn’t like not being able to see who he was facing; it unnerved him even more than usual. You can’t see someone, you can’t see what they’re doing . He was a nation that relied on actions and observation and right now he could do neither. Getting up, he tuned his head slightly to the side and backed up situated the piano between the two. Shilding his eyes from the light was slowly helping his regain his vision and he wanted to keep it this time. A memory fiitted though Sadiq’s head of centuries past when he had nearly been blinded, but it washed away as soon as he tried to grab a hold of it. Shaking his head, he shrugged and looked at the Austrian as much as he could. Lowering his arm, he rested his hands on the side of the piano and leaned against it, at least trying to act relaxed in the presence of one of the Nations he knew, even if they weren’t close, were never that close to each other.
“You been faring well in this place so far? Any injury or damage? Physical or metal?” If you need to talk, I’m here.

Where had everyone gone?
That was a question that had been haunting the Asian ever since the lights had cast them all into darkness earlier, but then again, there were too many things about this manor that made questions pop in his mind. He hadn't voiced them earlier and only because he was certain other's had noticed it...he hoped. They had to have noticed how odd this place was, after all, the outside compared to the inside...that wasn't natural.
Well, then again, Western culture had never made much sense to him so, perhaps this was just one of those time's his age and lack of knowledge caught up with him. Still, it wasn't enough to explain what he'd been hearing, feeling. In short, one could say Japan feared this place. Literally feared it from the bottom of his heart. It didn't seem to matter how well he tried to mask it, the fact remained something always caused that panic to rise with each step he took.
A creak hear, a groan there. It sent shivers of terror down his spine, blood turning to ice at the morbid thoughts running through his mind on what could be lurking within these walls. He was, in a sense, thankful he'd chosen this particular costume to wear. The Shinsengumi, rowdy bunch that lot, but...they were fun. Almost like family. He missed them, and always stayed true to a few certain members even in this day and age, as such, this uniform was so much more than a simple costume. It was a form of respect. Respect that still drove him forward in this new day and age; and it was thanks to this particular choice of clothing he was permitted a sword. That wasn't to say it needed to be used, at least he hoped it wouldn't be. With as much bloodshed as he'd seen and caused with this blade it'd be nice that for one night, just this once, it wouldn't need to taste anymore blood.
Where had everyone gone? While silence was something he usually welcomed, he'd take Germany barking order's or Italy's delighted cheers right about now. Even America's obnoxious laugh or Greece's snoring was preferable to this never ending silence. It nearly drove him insane! Him! ...Greece. He'd been with the man not too long before this began, but then, he'd been drawn off to another group of nation's. England he believed. The nation had ranted and raved about this place and things he was feeling-seeing. Now Kiku only wished he'd listened back then.
Ah, but it was far too late to wish for a change now wasn't it? It always was. The world was ironic in that sense, you never seemed to realize what you had until it was smashed to bits right in front of you. ...But this was nonsense. It was just a house after all, what harm could it contain?
Just as that thought left him a familiar sound came from down the hall, was that- certainly it was. A piano. Well, there was only one nation he could recall that enjoyed such an instrument, and then at the same time this could be a trap. ....Honestly, he was letting the feel of this place affect him too much. Moving about in the dark was hard enough, but locating which room that emminated from, that would be a bit of a chore. Who did they think he was? ...What was the name of that hero...Super..Supersomething.
“Avusturya. As good as it is to see a friendly Nation, shine the light elsewhere, I can’t see a blasted thing.”
Well, the name was familiar, and so was the owner's voice. The tension that was previously present seemed to vanish at the thought of reuniting with two familiar faces. Or his loning for human contact had pushed him into forbidden territory. Either way, his resolve set, the Asian slowly pushed open the door.
The first thing he saw was in fact the very same nation who'd been in his mind earlier; Austria. And the other voice was most definitly that of the Turk. How nice, at least there were two level-headed people within the room now. It wasn't to disrespect Sadik in any way just...well, Japan had never seen his friend be calm; at least not when Greece was around.
"Anou..I hope I'm not interrupting anything...still, it's nice to see the both of you in good health."

Roderich finished pushing at the old and spotted doorknob, entering the room where Turkey’s voice had called out from. He left the door slightly ajar, a trait he had developed from wandering the halls of the manor, for if you found yourself locked in with something unpleasant there was little one could do escape an even more unpleasant end. While he wasn’t immediately able to make out the piano he had earlier, the room’s occupant made himself clear. As he took a few steps into the dark and seemingly derelict room, he noticed that the light coming from his lantern was causing the masked man to cringe and he swung the kerosene lantern away from the other nation.
“Avusturya. As good as it is to see a friendly Nation, shine the light elsewhere, I can’t see a blasted thing.”
Roderich frowned at that statement. How long had the other nation been wandering in the dark that a mere dim light could gain a reaction like that? Then again, Turkei had a hot temper for as long as Roderich could remember Sadiq; exaggerated reactions could be expected from those with tempers.
“Give it a moment; your eyes will adjust soon enough to the light.” said Roderich dismissively, not wishing to turn off his lantern. The Austrian had enough to worry about without adding trying to get around easier to the list.
Instead his gaze fell one the black mass between Sadiq and himself, a familiar shadow. The piano was simply a heavenly sight for Roderich’s wretched eyes, and his first inclination was to place his hand on it, to feel the hopefully smooth wood all the way to the keys. And if the present company was not here, Roderich would have already began playing something, anything to fill the silence and pressure that pervaded ever inch of the manor since he had stepped inside with something soothing and reassuring. Gott knew he needed something reassuring in this deathtrap of a house.
It was almost like the other nation had read his mind. “You been faring well in this place so far? Any injury or damage? Physical or metal?” If you need to talk, I’m here."
Roderich attempted at softening his expression at the concern for his well-being. For once his own accursed habit to get lost helped him out as he had barely seen anything, just tidbits of strange and frightening things the manor held inside its walls. Nothing of noting had actually happened to him, yet. There was always a feeling of being observed that Roderich had noticed while walking through the corridors. Usually Roderich would shrug it off as himself being needlessly paranoid, but in the present situation he wasn’t so sure he was being needlessly. Everything about the manor set his long dormant survival instincts off and the long wandering had reminded him how alone he was in such a situation, with no chance to find his missing close ones.
"I'm fine, Turkei. How about y-..."
"Anou..I hope I'm not interrupting anything...still, it's nice to see the both of you in good health."
Roderich gave a tiny jump from fright at the sudden voice coming from behind him, causing his lantern to swing fast and the rifle strapped to his back to lightly hit him in the side. He turned to face the newcomer, eyes narrowed slightly to get a good look at the other.
"Japan. Gott im Himmel, you frightened me. But likewise." The last part of his answer came out as a pant since his heart is still beating loudly from being so suddenly scared. He continues after taking another breath, "We just found each other a moment ago. Have you stayed safe since you've gotten here?"

“Give it a moment; your eyes will adjust soon enough to the light.”
Blinking as he turned his head from the light, Sadiq just leaned against the piano he had found and let his eyes adjust themselves to the sudden light that had invaded his full retina’s. He could only wonder where Roderich had gotten the latern, but it was probably a good thing they had run into each other. It could only work in their favor to stick together in pairs in the manor. Two heads planning was much better than one, and while Austria wouldn’t be the first Nation he would have chosen to watch his back in a fight, he wouldn’t snub the help either. Austria could be one hell of a fighter when he wanted to be, or so his memory said. And while some of his memories from the old day were fragmented, that he remembered well. Not many people had been able to beat him, but Austria had. It was quite amazing how far they had come from the old days, but he liked it. He would rather have the nations as his friends than his enemies.
He had asked the Austrian how he was doing because he was concerned. He had seen many odd things in this house, and he wanted to make sure his friends were doing alright. If the house had messed with Roderich’s head, he wanted to try to help…like how he couldn’t help Feliciano. That one had hurt, but there was nothing he could do about that. If he could help this friend, it would be a start in making everything better.
"I'm fine, Turkei. How about y-..."
"Anou..I hope I'm not interrupting anything...still, it's nice to see the both of you in good health."
Jumping slightly at the sudden voice, he had to smile once the sound penetrated his ears and his brain registered who is was. He had been looking for one of his close friends and it seemed that he one had found him.
“Japonya!”
Scrambling around the piano, he rushed over to the Japanese man and hugged him tight. He knew that Kiku usually didn’t like being hugged and touched like this, but Sadiq could care less at this moment. His friend was alive and talking and knew who he was, everything just took an uplifting turn in his world. It was such a relief to see that two of his friends were alive, and one of them a close friend at that.
“God, I missed you, are you doing alright? Not hurt are you?”
Turning his head, he looked to Austria and grinned wide, knowing that it probably would be seen thanks to the light. “Do you see, Japonya’s here!”

Keeping a steadied gaze on the two nation's before him for awhile longer, Japan slowly turned his head off to the side to take in the room. It was dark, that much was obvious, but as long as he could see he wasn't particularly worried with the darkness. Through the years, especially certain points in his history one had to learn how to blend in within the darkness; as such, this room held no concern for him in that respect. If this place didn't send shivers up his spine and cause his mind to screech out in terror he would have liked to search the place in peace, especially this room and the libraries. Possibly others. The room, from what he was able to tell, may have been just as dusty as the rest, but at the same time it was equally as beautiful. If they had an art room he might just be in heaven, though, he'd admit to a love in the musical arts as well. Mainly the violin, always a favorite of his alongside the piano.
A smile began to etch across his lips, upon seeing the Austrian jump, not that he was proud or happy that he scared the man. Alright, part of him was, but Japan could be a trickster at times and that was something he could admit to. Part of him wanted to raise his arm for a brief moment to block the sudden burst of light that followed the other turning to face him, and yet at the same time he held back for he was thankful they at least had a source of light in this place.
"Japan. Gott im Himmel, you frightened me. But likewise. We just found each other a moment ago. Have you stayed safe since you've gotten here?"
Ah, well, he figured he'd given the man a fright.
"I apologize for that Austria-san, I was relieved to hear familiar voices nearby and had to make sure it wasn't my mind playing tricks on me. I've been fine, nothing too odd has happened to me since arriving, however, I hope the same can be said for you. The both of you seem well."
Looking over them once more he hadn't noticed Turkey moving closer until he was scooped into a tight hug, face flushing brightly when his mind finally managed to catch up. What was it with people and giving out sudden hugs? Especially with his known opinion on personal space, and at the same time, his friend's experience within these walls may have been different from his. What may be two or so days for Japan could have been weeks for the Turkish nation. Instead he cast a quick glance towards Austria for help of some kind.
"God, I missed you, are you doing alright? Not hurt are you?”
"N-Not at all, I'm fine. Not a scratch is on me-"
He wasn't able to finish his thoughts. The next words out of the nation's mouth would have made Japan laugh or face palm if he had the chance, then again, he had no clue what either of them had faced in this place. So, he was in no position to judge what came out of whose mouth, but once he was certain the other was satisfied with the amount of hugging; Japan placed a calm hand on the others shoulder. Not only reassuring him he was safe and out of harm's way for the time being, but that he'd also like to be put down.

Japan coming was a blessing really, but Roderich immediately wondered if three of them would be loud enough to warrant unwanted and vicious visitors. In his aimless wanderings around the manor so far, he had escaped any such trouble and thought himself lucky for it. But his mind quickly pushed aside those worries and focused on dealing with his growing embarrassment. In the corner of Roderich’s mind, behind his slightly embarrassed face at jumping so easily, Roderich felt relief that he had heard another set of jumping besides his own. Thankfully it was not only him that Japan had managed to surprise with his sudden appearance. He could also the faint beginnings of a smile begin to show on Japan’s face at both of their reactions. Inwardly, he felt sheepish but none of that showed through his partially lit face with its perpetual reserved expressions.
"I apologize for that Austria-san, I was relieved to hear familiar voices nearby and had to make sure it wasn't my mind playing tricks on me. I've been fine, nothing too odd has happened to me since arriving, however, I hope the same can be said for you. The both of you seem well."
Japan was always to point, Austria had realized from talking to him in the past. While strange to his own ears and culture, it could be quite refreshing. He was about to respond when he was cut off by a sudden movement from Turkey, followed by Sadiq’s jubilant cry of “Japonya!” which echoed across the room as Turkey sped to embrace his friend. Out of habit, Roderich noted the acoustics of the room and wished heavily that he could sit down already and play that piano. He threw it a wistful look before looking back to Sadiq and Kiku.
"God, I missed you, are you doing alright? Not hurt are you?”
"N-Not at all, I'm fine. Not a scratch is on me-"
Then Japan as well had probably been avoiding any confrontations with the sinister residents of the manor. But it was too dim in the room to look closely at his two companions and try to judge the state there were in.
Roderich smiled fondly at the sight of Sadiq embracing Japan, noting the slightly incredulous look Japan gave as Turkey turned to him and asked him that. He had heard several times from Ludwig that Japan didn’t appreciate being hugged so suddenly, as the blonde nation had found out when Feliciano had hugged him. Really, having been in such positions himself throughout his life (and some of them caused by Feliciano), he couldn’t find help slight sympathy for the Eastern nation, though Sadiq’s good cheer was becoming slightly infectious. He stepped forward with his lantern to provide them with a little more light and answered.
“Yes, I see him Turkey.” He took another step before continuing. “Though, I suggest we quiet down a little. There is now three of us and if we found each other so easily, there’s no telling what else can do the same, ja?” He threw them a very serious look after that, mostly directed at Turkey, and went on. “I don’t suppose any of you have run into any of those creatures I keep hearing in the time we have been guests here? Or have any advice on dealing with them?” He added this as an afterthought. His rifle was large and old, and he brought a set of five bullets with him for it, just to show the century-old decorations. While he could still use the thing, it was the matter of five large hunting bullets not being enough to get him out of the manor safely, or at the very least prolong his survival, so any help Austria could receive, he will take.

It was strange, but even in this dark place where malaise hung in the air, a warning that darker things were waiting for a victim, that he was able to feel a spark of happiness in him. He was glad to have run across Austria and Japan, really glad to see that the two friends of his were alright. Their words even confirmed it. The Turkish nation was honestly happy. His friends were safe. He would do anything in his power to protect them, to protect any of them. Yes, he might argue with some of the Nations, but that didn’t change anything. They all had something in common as much as they might not like it. They were Nations. Within them they held the feelings of their countrymen along with the history, even the forgotten and the parts that no one wanted to remember. This is the reason they all needed to stick together and put aside their differences. Of course that was easier said than done in some instances, especially with those that seemed to never be able to get along.
“Though, I suggest we quiet down a little. There is now three of us and if we found each other so easily, there’s no telling what else can do the same, ja?”
Hearing Austria speak startled Sadiq out of his train of thought that he had gotten lost in after Kiku confirmed he was fine. He really needed to not do that, it could wind up causing him to be hurt and his friends too in the long run.
“I don’t suppose any of you have run into any of those creatures I keep hearing in the time we have been guests here? Or have any advice on dealing with them?”
“No, sorry, I know nothing about anything here besides brief glances in the hall way…I know enough I don’t want to find out more about them. Should we move to somewhere else? So they won’t have an easy time finding us?”
Moving, he walked over to the instruments and looked. He had a sword, yes, but it was old and he wasn’t sure if it was near breaking or not. He wanted to save that for worst incase the worst happened.
“Hey Roderich, Kiku? Think we could get a decent weapon out of busting up the piano or one of the other instruments? Desperate times call for desperate measure after all.”
And he was telling the truth, he loved music and hated to destroy instruments, but, one has to do what they could to survive, and if that meant breaking instruments, then so be it.

“Though, I suggest we quiet down a little. There is now three of us and if we found each other so easily, there’s no telling what else can do the same, ja?”
And so, those brief moments of joy were brought to an end. The magnitude of their current situation beginning to weigh on his mind and heart once more, almost ensnaring him within its sharpened fangs. Chocolate optics had adjusted enough to make out a pointed look, mainly directed towards the man who once had him in his hold --of which he was thankful to be freed from. Still, Kiku was aware that the warning was meant for him as well, even if it wasn't voice volume they had to worry about from him; it was still easy to cause a noise. A bump, even playing one of the musical instruments had the potential to cost them everything. Austria's last words, they struck a chord within him as well as allowing his senses and guard to be raised. He had a point, there was no telling what else could be lurking about the halls and listening in; not an inkling about who would be able to find the three of them. It's not as though it'd be too difficult for some of the creature's, still, as long as he was present Japan would ensure the safety of the other two occupants in the room.
He refused to let anything happen to either of them.
An amusing thought seemed to have crossed his mind. The three of them seemed to have no problem getting along under life-or-death circumstances, and perhaps it was because they all had people of whom they cared for in as much, or greater, danger. Or maybe, just maybe, it was because there was nothing to argue about. In the World Meetings nation's would be arguing left and right with no sign of stopping, but here, he hadn't witnessed or heard a single fight. Maybe they could learn something from this, he doubted it'd be so, but it was a nice train of thought. Besides, they were burdened with the fate of being a nation, a stepping stone in the waters of History. Disagreements happened every day and the tide was always changing.
“I don’t suppose any of you have run into any of those creatures I keep hearing in the time we have been guests here? Or have any advice on dealing with them?”
.....
He needed to stop letting his thoughts overtake him. It could lead to someone's death or physical harm, and then he'd have no one to blame but himself. While Japan may not hold much concern for his own well-being, he didn't want to see the other two be put in the path of danger simply because he couldn't focus on the matters at hand. Hopefully, this wouldn't be a continuing problem.
“No, sorry, I know nothing about anything here besides brief glances in the hall way…I know enough I don’t want to find out more about them. Should we move to somewhere else? So they won’t have an easy time finding us?”
Optics snapped over to where the Turk was settled in the room before they slowly moved back towards the Austrian, features darkening with a frown as he shook his head. "Unfortunately, no, I've not yet encountered one of the inhabitants. I've tried to avoid them as best I can, whispers and glances is the amount of my experience with them."
Needless to say, he hoped it stayed that way.
"Moving around and staying out of sight would be the smartest course of action, however, at the same time we're unsure of what could be nearby waiting to strike," he began, although when it came down to it, it was a risk they'd all end up taking whether they stayed in the room or kept on moving.
Turkey's next words, despite his love for instruments brought the slightest of smiles to the Asian nation's face. His only answer to the question was a nod of his head as he stepped closer towards him, inspecting the piano first and foremost before his attention went to the other musical items within the room. One of them would certainly make a good weapon, depending on which you choose, how you broke it, and when and how you decided to use it. Though it pained him to say that, especially if they belonged to one of the deceased, however, desperate times call for desperate measures.

“No, sorry, I know nothing about anything here besides brief glances in the hall way…I know enough I don’t want to find out more about them. Should we move to somewhere else? So they won’t have an easy time finding us?”
Roderich almost chuckled at Sadik’s answer, almost, instead keeping a steady gaze on the other man. Moving to another place would be interesting, but Roderich could almost see the problems with that. Though it was probably very foolish to aimlessly wander the halls of the manor, like he had been doing all this time, a group of three people might attract more of the monsters’ attentions, even spur them on.
The other thing is, and Roderich felt very selfish, was that he desperately felt the urge to be alone in this room. Alone with the piano, the harp in the corner, and the violin he could see hidden in the corner. There were many other instruments and Roderich was a little shocked at how tempting they were becoming, even by the second. His fingers twitched out of reflex, as if remembering how to play a chord and Roderich allowed himself a brief glance at the piano.
Maybe this was even a trap and they should leave. Austria managed to stop his very strange train of thought and exhaled loudly enough that he almost missed Japan replying.
"Unfortunately, no, I've not yet encountered one of the inhabitants. I've tried to avoid them as best I can, whispers and glances are the amount of my experience with them."
He looked to Japan, not at all at his answer. Perhaps there was an advantage to being alone and in the shadowed corridors of the manor. The three of them had managed to stay unscathed so far, had they not?
"Moving around and staying out of sight would be the smartest course of action, however, at the same time we're unsure of what could be nearby waiting to strike,"
Roderich nodded. The manor was sentient as far as he could tell and that thing loved to play with them the way a cat would with a mouse; prolonging the death very quickly with games. It was unimaginably cruel, the way the manor treated its “mice”. Sometimes Roderich even hoped he would get out of this place and then in the next second pass a room full of screams and the scent of blood wafting through it.
His fingers twitched again. That urge to calm himself and play was back as strong as it was before Japan cut him off from his inner thoughts by answering. Of course Roderich had felt this before, at home when he hadn't play in several days. But the desire to sit down and express himself was never this strangely compulsive. The Austrian wasn’t even sure what he’d want to express. A feeling of entrapment? Doom? A slight hope from finding two friendly nations out of the blue?
“… we could get a decent weapon out of busting up the piano or one of the other instruments? Desperate times call for desperate measures after all.”
Once more Roderich was broken out of the strange train of thought he’d been experiencing in this room and his eyes widened in shock and true terror at what Sadik was suggesting. Breaking an instrument, especially these that seemed to be in such good condition and could very well be almost two-hundred years old was a blasphemy to him. The thought of such instruments broken into pieces for the sake of a pipe dream, for defending themselves from something that would probably never be killed, hurt him. Roderich turned red, trying to think of a way he could put this very dangerous proposal to rest forever.
After all – if they destroyed the instruments he’d never play them.
Roderich’s clenched as he watched Kiku smile and walk towards Sadik. He almost felt betrayed by these two companions who he had moments ago seen as friends. Didn’t they know how beautiful instruments were? What utter godliness they emitted when played?
“No.” he said, firmly as he ever could. His violet eyes narrowed at the both of them to show he meant that no very strongly.
“Whatever we break from this room will probably not serve us well, as it is only old wood, and that I believe the Manor will not take kindly to us breaking its things. I suggest we focus on moving out of this room instead of breaking it.”
He paused to see if they were stepping away from the piano. Maybe if he could get them away from the room for now… Roderich could find it again, no sense of direction be damned. The urge to play only got stronger with the images of broken instruments littering the ground, mostly because Roderich suddenly realized something. This could be the last time he ever saw instruments. If they were trapped forever in this manor, these would be the last links of his he would have to enjoyment, to music. And Roderich would not let it slip away.

"Moving around and staying out of sight would be the smartest course of action, however, at the same time we're unsure of what could be nearby waiting to strike.”
That, the Turkish man could agree on. Nodding that he did, he walked around the piano, felt the smoothness of the exterior on his hands and knew that if anything, the piece of work was well crafted. If only he could hear it being played the way it was supposed to be played. With a sigh he turned back to Kiku, multiple things running though his mind of what they should do now.
“No. Whatever we break from this room will probably not serve us well, as it is only old wood, and that I believe the Manor will not take kindly to us breaking its things. I suggest we focus on moving out of this room instead of breaking it.”
Shrugging as his idea was shot down, he couldn’t say he was surprised, especially coming from Austria who seemed to value his music over everything else. Stepping out from behind the piano, he walked closer to Austria, looking him over. “Then what would you suggest then if we are attacked in here and our weapons are deemed useless. Throw sheet music at them and hope they get frightened off by paper cuts?”
Scoffing at that, he moved towards the walls and started feeling along it, seeing if he could find anything that seemed out of place. Sadiq liked reading, and he had picked up books about every country at some point in his lift. He had read that old houses like this often had secret passages between rooms. They were often found in the kitchen or the library and leading to other rooms; perhaps even hidden rooms that held the secrets of this place. Old papers aged with time, laying discarded across desks that told how the house and land got this way or perhaps notes from the previous occupants depicting their lasts days in this haunted house. It was this type of passage he was looking for and hoping to find, anyway to get them somewhere else without having to guide the hallways without running into the fearsome monsters that guarded and patrolled. Sighing as he came to the end of the wall, he turned around and leaned against the wall, arms over his chest. He missed the sun light. The feel of the wind against his skin and how the ocean moved over his legs when the tide was coming in.
”So we need to figure out something to do. If we wait here, something is bound to get us, whether or not they are already lying in wait. After all, we’re just boring them now staying here. We safer in groups or separated? Should we leave at the same time and go to, I don’t know, perhaps out to the grounds? What about staying here and waiting for something to find us and attempt to kill us. Let’s face it, Wer’ basically sittin’ ducks waiting patiently for the hunter to come along and kill us before eatin’ us for dinner, cooked or not.”
Not even a second had passed before the tension in the room increased and Turkey could feel the hair on the back of his neck and arm rising. Eyes darting around for the source, a the music on the piano and scattered around started blowing before it rose and blew towards all three of them. Lifiting his arms to protect his face from the papers, Sadiq could feel them hitting his arms, thankful for his longs sleeves and gloves to keep him from being cut. Droping his arms again once the wind dies down, he sighed.
"Well, that was bad timing."
Looking around, he notinced something that startled him; a shiver of fear runing down his spine. Moving around to where his frind was standing, he started freaking out. Moving around, he started looking behind instruments and inside the piano.
"Kiku, where'd you go? Don't do this to me, I just found you!"

His body was still tense, though with Sadiq moving away from the piano, that coiled and tight feeling started to fade. The thought that he had to remove Turkey and Japan from the room, from the instruments more importantly, still repeated itself in the back of his mind. Though as the former approached him, Roderich focused more keeping his face composed as he was stared down.
“Then what would you suggest then if we are attacked in here and our weapons are deemed useless. Throw sheet music at them and hope they get frightened off by paper cuts?”
Roderich kept his body solid to show that neither Sadiq’s criticisms nor his scoffing would pierce his resolve. Silence was his answer. Thankfully the other went off to feel up the walls for some reason. Roderich only inhaled sharply to show that he had been unnerved. His orchid eyes dart once to look at Kiku, wondering why the other nation hadn’t said anything yet. But Austria focused once more on the piano, free to look at it again now that Sadiq was preoccupied with the wall. It was disturbing, Roderich thought to himself, how much and how suddenly he wanted to play the piano. His own thoughts defied reason and yet felt completely rational, something strange for the aloof Roderich. But the brunette had always been a slave to his passions, whether others saw it or not. Out of the corner of his eye, Roderich noticed that Turkey had stopped fumbling around the walls and had turned to lean back on the wall. The Alpine nation lifted his head to give the other his full attention.
Roderich was immediately about to suggest that perhaps they needed to split up –his fingers were simply burning to play- when something happened that made him close his half-open mouth. A strange wind tore through the room, sending many faded sheets of music flying towards both nations. Startled, Roderich raised a hand to block the oncoming papers.
“What in Gott’s name?” he exclaimed loudly as they crashed against his body. Just as soon as the gust of wind came, it was gone, leaving behind a mess of papers cluttered on the floor. Roderich shook his head at the mess, before looking at Sadiq in confusion.
"Well, that was bad timing."
He nodded in agreement to that statement, suddenly a little shook up from the strange event that had just happened. The sheets of music has struck flesh and left raised hairs and suddenly the urge to stay in this room and play to his heart’s content wasn’t as strong. Roderich sighed, swiping some of his bangs back up under his hat. This manor was honestly more trouble than what he could deal with. He glanced to where Kiku had been, wondering why nation hadn’t expressed any reaction to the strange gust that had flown through the room when he noticed that Japan was no longer in that place. Nor was he in the room. Roderich’s eyes widened and he turned back to Turkey, who had noticed as well.
"Kiku, where'd you go? Don't do this to me, I just found you!"
“He’s been missing since that wind blew through.” Roderich quietly stated, processing what had just had happened. Turkey was moving back behind the piano, searching. Once again running his hands through his chestnut hair, Roderich sighed heavily, trying to think of what the next move would be.
“Turkey, I believe this room is no longer safe for us,” began Roderich, looking around as if a monster might pop up from the darkness. “And that we should leave. Wherever Kiku is, I don’t think we can find him.”

Panicking as he looked though the room, his inner thoughts were stressed. He needed his friends safe; he needed to know they were alright. It was the way he worked. Protect those he could and rightnow, wherever he went, Kiku could be hurt or... no; he was fine, the wind just wanted to separate them for some reason that the man could not figure out. Righting a few of the chairs and instruments that were knocked over, he heard Austria speak .
“He’s been missing since that wind blew through.” “Really? I hadn’t noticed that’s when he went missing considering it was just a second ago. “
Muttering silently to himself as he finished setting up the harp again, he sighed. He knew Roderich had only been answering his question, but did he really have to state the obvious sometimes. Perhaps he could call him… what was that term he had heard on American TV sometimes…oh that was right, Captain Obvious. Somewhere in his head, he know he was being an ass and unfair to Austria. He had no control over his matter at all, but he needed to keep his mind focused on something and unfortunately, Austria was there to take the brunt of it. If his mind was left unfocused, he would worry about Kiku and what this dreaded place could have done to him. Standing up straight, he ran a hand through his brown hair and stared at the mess that was still all over the floor, eyes unfocused and thoughts running through his head, trying to formulate some sort of answer of why. Why had this all happened? Why them? Why, just why.
“Turkey, I believe this room is no longer safe for us, And that we should leave. Wherever Kiku is, I don’t think we can find him.”
Dropping his hands to his sides and looking over to the man, he let lose a deep sigh and looked to the celling. There was nothing remarkable on there, just the usual ceiling. No dust, nor cracks. Nothing to make it any different than any of the other rooms he had been in, but this room was different. This room is where the Inhabitants made their first mistake with him.
“Safe Austria? You honestly thought this room was safe? Nowhere in this Mansion is safe when we’re at the mercy of the things that live here.” lowering his head down to look at the man instead of the ceiling, a nasty smile spread across his face. “I leave no one behind. I will find him alright, and they should worry when I do.” Moving over to pick a guitar off the floor, he shifted the grip a bit before flinging it at the wall will all of his strength. The instrument shattered and the pieces rained down, making a light sound as they fell to the floor. A dark chuckle left those lips at seeing the destruction he had caused. “You see that? I hope you’re all listening and watching. Like this guitar, I’m gonna tear this place down around me, piece by piece.”
Turninng his head around so he could see Austria out of one eye, he kept his grin where it was. “Only question for you Austria, you man enough to get your hands dirty with me or you going to keep fearing this place and keep hidden, hoping you can live another day?”

“Really? I hadn't’t noticed that’s when he went missing considering it was just a second ago."
Sarcasm didn't become many people. Roderich had always though it hadn't become Feliciano, Spain, and now he added Turkey to the list of People Who Shouldn't Be Sarcastic. Roderich only replied in make a low guttural sound in the back of his throat to express his apathy. Observations were observations and the fact that a light breeze had carried away Japan was very interesting. Too interesting. But mostly unsettling like everything else at the moment, from this damn manor to this verdammt room and even Sadiq himself.
"Hrrm," hummed Roderich to himself, still keeping a weary eye on his surroundings. He said his bit about leaving this damn place and he was intent on doing so, whether Sadiq heeded his advice or not. The compelling feel was now completely gone, leaving his body cold and hyper aware of how much it did not want to be in this room. Turkey looked down at him and said,“Safe Austria? You honestly thought this room was safe? Nowhere in this Mansion is safe when we’re at the mercy of the things that live here. I leave no one behind. I will find him alright, and they should worry when I do.”
Quicker than Roderich could react, Sadiq grabbed a guitar of the floor and flung it against the wall. It screech a deep thrum in protest before breaking into many pieces that fell down to the floor around the room. Roderich looked at the pieces mournfully for a second. What an absolute waste, thought Austria, that type of guitar had long stopped being made. It could have been useful. The moment of grieving for an innocent (he hoped) stopped when Turkey spoke again, this time to the ceiling.
“You see that? I hope you’re all listening and watching. Like this guitar, I’m gonna tear this place down around me, piece by piece.”
Roderich resisted that very familiar urge to roll his eyes. This false bravado, fueled by momentary anger, it wouldn't last. Empty promises and threats were spilling from Sadiq's mouth, nothing more. They were perhaps mere lab mice in some scientist's experiment. Wherever Japan was, he wouldn't be found so quickly by them. Nor would the manor be so easily goaded by Sadiq's threats, he hoped for the Turk's own sake. Roderich met Sadiq's eye looking back at him coolly and unperturbed, waiting for the man to finish boasting.
“Only question for you Austria, you man enough to get your hands dirty with me or you going to keep fearing this place and keep hidden, hoping you can live another day?”
Roderich gave a small dry laugh as he stepped on the remains of the poor guitar. Was that what a mann was to Sadiq? Hasty, quick to threaten and not quick to consider all options? Was it fear that kept Roderich from joining the other nation in some senseless destruction for a senseless goal (in his opinion)? Or just a burning need for survival, a knowledge that he didn't want to die here of all places. And the slight to his masculinity had not bothered him either, strangely. Hundreds of years of wars either spoke for themselves or just reminded Roderich that always his strength had been constantly questioned. Well he had shown them, ja? Even this oaf right next to him, who had lost the hopes of conquering Europe further when his ran tail between his legs from a failed siege and a victorious Austria. Hadn't Roderich winked down at the defeated Turkish armies, secure in the fact that his empire's sun wouldn't set for a long, long time?
Roderich did something unlike of him to do. He smiled at Sadiq and walked calm towards the door while talking. "My apologies, Truthahn, another time. I suggest you hide as well, because the last thing you want is for this place to take you seriously. Auf Wiedersehen."
He spared no more looks for the other nation, nor the piano he had wished so dearly to play. Perhaps he would be lead to it once more, another day. In fact, as Roderich left the music room behind, the nation knew he would. As for now, all Roderich wanted the peace and quiet of a dark hallway.
