Mathias was an honest individual. To say the very least, he only told lies if he felt them nessecary. Right now however, lying to himself would've been the worst idea ever. As he suddenly found himself in a garden. A garden filled with flowers and weeds of various kinds. Denmark knew that even though the side of him that connected the most with nature had gone away long ago, there was still a part of him that was more than happy to take a dive into a small patch of grass in this lovely little "garden". This was something he would not lie to himself about.
The Dane decided to lay flat on his back and stare directly up towards the sky. He also loved the sky. He felt like if he saw the clouds and the familiar blue hues that he was so used to, well... That it would provide him with a sense of freedom, with some sense that there would be a way out. But to say that seeing the sky right now was fulfilling the task at hand, would be a lie to himself.
The sky didn't seem right. It was dark and forboding. The kind of sky that told him that there was much more on the way. The familiar sky filled that was filled with extremely dark clouds that threatened to flood the land and kill the people. But how much of this was the Dane supposed to take? He was both mentally and physically exhausted from this whole ordeal. That wasn't to say that he couldn't keep going for as long as he needed to survive... But what kind of sick joke was this? What kind of weird individual got amusement from this kind of nonsense?
Whoever was doing this had no right! It was his own life! No one had a right to control it like this but him!
But what could he do about all of this stuff anyway? It wasn't like he had any kind of special skills except for being a huge brute when it came to fighting. But when it came to cunning and logic, Mathias wasn't really what one would consider to be at the top of his game.
If he could just find someone... anyone that would be willing to put their lives on line to help him escape... And by escape he meant destroy the keeper of the house. Destroy them until their nothing left but cinders and ash.
A sudden breaking in the clouds and the feeling of a long forgotten sun on the top of his head made Mathias realize what he was thinking. The thought of killing someone made him... Happy. Well maybe not happy, exactly, but he did feel his heart speed up, and what he recognized as the beginning of a good bloodrush.
He smiled weakly to himself. It had been so long since he had ever been so bloodthirsty. When he was a much younger man, just the thought of killing excited him. It wasn't until Mathias watched Sweden, Norway, other nations and the people of his home grow up around and without him did he realize the value of a life. He realized the value of his own life, and his bloodthrist died. It turned into sympathy and caring, and he became a better man.
Sighing, the Dane laid on his back, keeping his face in his small but warming piece of sunlight. He crossed his arms under his neck, and shut his eyes, but by the time he opened them again, his sunlight was gone.
"Stupid clouds..." He uttered to himself, turning onto his side in the sparse grass, "Maybe I'll get out of here soon...maybe we all will..." A small laugh escaped his throat as he started to pick small shards of grass out of the ground.

Sadiq was miserable. The sky was over cast and shadows were everywhere. But then again, this was not a surprise. Ever since they had arrived at the manor the sky had been cloudy and gray. It used to bother him greatly, but now it fit his mood perfectly. For once, walking in a garden didn’t help his mood. Looking around at all the tulips and flowers and weeds, they all looked gray, not a single color to be seen among them. Taking a deep breath to smell the flowers, he realized he didn’t care about how they smelled, they were just one more thing the manor had taken from him. He didn’t remember the last time he felt so….listless. Lifeless. He had come to realize he was mearly a plaything of the manor and no matter what anyone did, the manor always won, would always win. It didn’t seem like there was any way to be happy anymore, no way to keep from faltering in this place. He knew his positive outlook was failing…it’s what tended to happen when such a social nation as him was left alone to long, when there was nothing to be done to fix the situation.
Depression. That’s what he was fallen into. When was the last time he was depressed like this? Depressed to the point of uncaring, unfeeling? He knew it had to be the manor’s influence on him. His temper had started getting shorter and his thoughts more violent. If only he could have a break, see the sunlight again as it peaked through the clouds in an attempt to bath the Earth in its life sustaining glow. If only he could see it, he was sure that would help improve his mood.
Stopping again to look at the flowers, the Turk saw one of his precious tulips drooping so low it nearly touched the ground. It needed care in order to survive; it needed water and food, love and attention. Just like humans. He didn’t remember the last time he had actually eaten anything, or what he had last drank, the thought of food had become a foreign thought to him. Hearing his stomach rumble and felt it gnawing at his backbone made him even more depressed. He even considered eating one of his precious flowers. Not for the nutrients, no, but just to give his stomach something to digest, something so it would stop complaining and making him remember how much they had truly lost by joining this party.
Rounding another corner, he saw a faithful break in the clouds, one he had been hoping for, but it appeared it was in vain. The light was weak, as brittle as centuries old books or a dried up flower. This light did not bring him hope as it was meant to; instead it only brought more sadness over his heart.
Following the brief trail of light before it vanished, he spotted someone he recognized. A friend in all this horror. Could he still be a friend though? Friends were so easily turned though, under the manors influence. A spark of hope lit in his chest, a small flame trying to combat the overwhelming sadness but was threatened to be quenched and snuffed under the weight of the negative emotions in him.
The sun had vanished again, but the small flame of hope was still there. He watched as the Dane moved to lay on his side and all he wanted to do was to hold his friend, know that he was real and solid and not a figment of his imagination. Taking a few steps forward and opening his mouth to call a greeting, he froze a yard or so away from him. His mouth opened and closed but no words emerged. He couldn’t form the words he was looking for; he couldn’t take those last steps towards him. If he took those faithful steps and Mathias wasn’t really there, he didn’t think he would be able to deal with it.
Watching as the body in front of him picked the blades of grass, he swallowed thickly and loudly and knew that one way or another, he had to do something. Forcing his body to move, Sadiq took a few mores steps before finally getting his voice to work. The one word he managed to utter sounded hopeful to his own ears, and lost, as a child would sound if they had been lost as had finally found a chance to find their way home again.
“Mathias?”

“Mathias?”
Mathias. His human name seemed almost foreign to him. He wasn’t even sure how long it had been since he had last heard it. Denmark stopped plucking grass, and for a second he wondered if the name calling was some kind of trick from the mansion. But the more he thought it over, the more sincere the voice sounded. The more… familiar the voice was.
Denmark turned his head towards the voice, his eyes widening when he saw who it was that was coming towards him. But eventually his surprise turned into a rather sincere smile at seeing Turkey heading his direction. His friend appeared to be somewhat lost. Moving towards Mathias as though he weren’t really even there. It was almost endearing in a way that Denmark couldn’t comprehend. He had to fight back the urge to jump onto his feet and wrap his arms around Sadiq’s neck and just hug him until he was able to prove that he was indeed standing there and was real.
But his fighting proved to be rather fruitless, because in what was about fifteen seconds tops, Mathias pushed himself onto his feet, and made a run for the Turk, practically knocking him over as he wrapped his arms around the other’s shoulders.
“Man I thought no one was ever going to come! I thought I was going to be stuck out here by myself until something came to kill me off!” His own voice seemed somewhat strained and almost... parched. As though he had just started to speak after crying his eyes out, “I’m so happy to see you! It’s like, t’s almost like you fell from the sky as a gift! Like a friend gift or something!”
He pulled away from his hug for a moment to look Sadiq over quickly. His dorky grin only grew even larger when he realized that Sadiq wasn’t an illusion. Of course Mathias had to make a joke about this, and he found himself snickering as he did so.
“You’re actually a friend aren’t you? Not some kind of monster walking around in Sadik’s clothing?”
Mathias suddenly realized that in his excitement, tears had formed in his eyes. Shoot! What on earth was he doing!? It wasn’t like he hadn’t seen any of his friends the entire time he had been shut up in the mansion! In fact he had seen quite a few of them. It was just that, he wasn’t exactly sure when they had gotten separated, or even how they had!
But by this stretch he was starting to get desperate for some company. He wanted a friend he could talk to, and it seemed that the more he thought about finding someone or getting his hopes up that he had found someone, the longer amount of time he had to wait for someone. In fact, it seemed like the second he had distracted himself with the thoughts of going after whoever had trapped them in the mansion, was the second that someone showed up.
That someone being Turkey. Mathias rubbed at his eyes and turned his head slightly. No wonder everyone seemed to think he was a huge idiot! Here he was, crying like some silly little kid who had just seen their mom for the first time in years! And Turkey wasn’t his mom… Turkey was as far away from his mother as a person could possibly even be! And Mathias wasn’t a woman either. Why was he being so emotional all of a sudden too!?
He turned his head because his attempts at stopping his joyful tears weren’t helping. He could honestly say that this was the first time in quite a long time that he had gotten weepy over his excitement. It wasn’t the first time, and hell, Mathias knew that it probably wouldn’t be the last. It was one of the few things that truly embarrassed him, but it didn’t matter, because he was filled with much more excitement than he could even contain internally.
Even if it was just temporary happiness.

Sadiq stood there, waiting for a response, waiting for any sign that this wasn't a figment of his imagination, to let him know he had found someone that could ease his sense of growing loneliness. Seconds passed since he had said Mathias's name, and nothing, well, almost nothing. The man in front of him had stopped picking apart the grass. Was that a clue that he was heard his name being called....or it was just a coincidence that he stopped at the same time?
Eventually Mathias turned his head and he could see his face, his blue eyes seemed unnaturally bright for some reason, but he didn't care, the brightness could just be a trick of his eyes, heck, he knew this whole thing could still be a trick of his mind. A smile flittered across his face in return to the wide smile he was given and he managed to take another few steps forward before he found himself in a tight hug, nearly loosing his balance in the process. He wouldn't have cared if they did fall over, he was just happy to see someone, bonus that it was a friend of his.
"Oh God you're real!"
He listened to Mathias speak and realize, like him, Mathias was lonely and alone and needed someone to hold onto, to convince him that he was real and alive and truly there in the living world. "Tough son of a gun like you, you'd fare well against these monsters." He kept a tight grip on the man, not wanting to let him go yet.
Blinking at Mathias's attempt at a joke, he grinned wider and chuckled along. "Guess ya don't know, can ya. Just have to trust it me like I trusting you. Now get back here, I haven't finished hugging you yet." He pulled Mathias back into a tight hug after seeing the tears form in his eyes. He hated to see people crying, especially his friends, but he knew these were good tears, and wouldn't draw attention to the fact he saw Mathias starting to cry. Hell, he was probably leaking tears himself and just not realizing it. His emotional state was all over the place recently, and count in his need for people to be around, he wouldn't be surprised if he would have been crying....Actually it would be a relief, two men blubbering like children because they got to see their friends again, that would help them both to feel less awkward.
"So, how ya been man, keeping safe as ya can be?"

"Oh God you're real!"
Mathias laughed upon realizing that Turkey had the same thoughts as him. Of course it was no surprise, really. A place like this could work wonders on a person's mind. And not the good kind either. He could vaguely remember meeting with his Nordic friends before, only to see that most of them, if not all four of the others, had lost their minds to some degree. Was he the only one hanging in there?
Hell, he wasnt even sure if he was even hanging in there anymore. But thinking back on it, he hadnt ever really been considered a level-headed individual, his anger rode in waves, and while he did not get mad all that often, when he did, the tendency to react with some kind of violence was pretty common. Then the matter of his "unnatural" happiness. Or rather what some of his friends seemed to think of his mostly easygoing nature. It was no wonder he was the only one hanging on anymore. It was pretty hard to keep a hold when there wasnt all that much to hold onto. Was there?
"Tough son of a gun like you, you'd fare well against these monsters... Guess ya don't know, can ya. Just have to trust in me like I'm trusting you. Now get back here, I haven't finished hugging you yet."
Mathias could only continue to laugh as he was pulled back into the embrace by the other, noticing that Sadiq too, was getting somewhat teary eyed. (He didn’t say anything about it, maybe they would just forever keep this between the two of them.) Hell, he was even aware of how feminine he was being, but that didn’t stop him from placing his forehead on the other's shoulder, lightly reaching one hand up to wipe at his tears. He was honestly trying his best to stop crying but it didn't help that the Turk was just as happy to see him as he was to see Sadiq.
"So, how ya been man, keeping safe as ya can be?"
The Dane glanced upward from his position at Sadiq's shoulder, a wide grin over taking his features.
"Yeah...! Yeah I'd say so. Got into some nasty scrapes here and there. Almost killed Spain... Glad I didn't though. That’s the last thing I'd need on my shoulders." Denmark finally felt his elated tears beginning to slow, "Met up with the other Nordics too..."
His excitement seemed to drain down almost immediately at the thought of his friends. The other Nordics weren't exactly in the best shape. Whatever the others had been through, whether it was worse than what he had experienced or not, had certainly broken them down to a point where the Dane was unsure if he could bring them back. He wondered idly who else was like this. Other countries he hadn't yet seen since arriving in the mansion.
Germany, the Netherlands, hell, even Estonia and the other Baltics. Where was everyone? What if they all had died? Oh man he sincerely hoped they were still alive. Didn’t they know they had nations to run! They had a lot of work to do! And when they got out of the mansion, there was going to be huge piles of it!
Denmark began to bite his lips.
He was feeling somewhat apprehensive suddenly. He wanted to know what became of his friends. Each and every single one of them. He was more than happy to be seeing Turkey, and with the other nation still around and for the most part, in good spirits, the Dane felt somewhat assured that some of the other nations had to be doing okay as well.
“Have you seen any of the others around?” Mathias inquired, still not pulling away from the other, as if his moving would cause the Turk to run off on him, “This fucking place I swear it is out to kill us all, we got lucky in finding each other here…” Denmark glanced downwards with a frown. He once again wondered if Turkey was feeling the same way, or which of his friends he had come across. Mathias could only hope that Turkey had a better idea of the other nation’s whereabouts than he did.

A wide happy smile crossed Sadiq’s face and he sighed happily. How could he not feel a bit of happiness with the warmth of another human….human. He had called himself human. He had felt himself stiffen a bit when he realized what he said, but he forced himself to relax again. This was a moment to be happy, not to worry about why he suddenly started calling himself and the rest of the Nations human. A tear escaped at the realization, but he hopped it could be passed off as another tear for being with his friend again. Seeing the Dane look up at him from where his head rested on his shoulder and smiled softly. Sometimes he felt really close to the Dane, hell, he might as well just admit it, they were buddies and close. A brotherly feeling overtook him and he let it, it had been a long time since he felt this close to anyone, he wanted the closeness. Leaning his head forward a bit, he placed his lips on Denmark’s forehead and kissed it once before hugging him tight again.
Blinking in mild surprise, he pulled away slightly and looked at him curiously. That was interesting to hear, that had to be a story behind that. “So, how did you almost do that? And I’m glad ya didn’t either.” Hearing the rest of the answer, he frowned slightly and rubbed the others back slightly. “Tell me what happened Mathias, it might ease whatever your feeling.” It was odd seeing the other loose the smile that seemed to be an ever present landmark on the Dane’s face. It wasn’t right, it was out of place. Sadiq didn’t like it.
He liked it even less when he saw Mathias bite his lip. It was just not something he was used to the other ….Nation doing. Hugging him tight, Sadiq only hoped he could comfort his friend as best as he could with this hidden secret. He might not be able to do much, but hopefully he would be some comfort. Blinking when Mathias asked him about the others, he shrugged what else could he do.
“I’ve seen Icy-boy, Mexico and Feliciano. Emil and Feliciano seemed to be doing alright, Mexico on the other hand…. Well, the trials have been getting to her, I can only hope that her self-confidence comes back. That’s all I’ve rand into here besides you.” He paused to take a breath and had to nod at the assessment. He had thought the same thing to really. He had also noticed that neither one seemed to want to let go of the other, but that was fine with him. He liked physical contact, but he really needed it now to assure that others were actually there, and it just seemed like Mathias needed the comfort too. “I agree. Mexico said she won against a monster, and me and Icy too ran into a ghost. “

“So, how did you almost do that? And I’m glad ya didn’t either.”
Denmark could feel himself blushing at the other’s affection. To say that he wasn’t really used to being shown affection from anyone would’ve been an understatement. He was pretty much used to being the only one who showed love of any kind, but even then, he wasn’t exactly that open with kissing other people himself. So instead, he just grinned widely and pat the Turk on his shoulder.
“So, how did you almost do that? And I’m glad ya didn’t either.”
His grin faded.
“Yeah…” Mathias laughed uneasily, “I kind of just…” He poked out his bottom lip at the thought, “…swung the end of my axe right into him. At least it wasn’t the blade, heheh. Don’t know how I would feel if I killed my buddy! Even if it wasn’t permanent!” Nations usually seemed to come back to life once they were killed. Or… at least that was what he thought. He was pretty sure none of his friends had ever died. They were invincible, weren’t they?
He bit his lip again. As an older nation, Mathias wasn’t afraid of death. He had faced death many times in fact. He had even seen nations die. Small… underdeveloped nations that couldn’t hold their heads up in a war torn past. Nowadays things seemed to be different. Or at least, he liked to think that. But in this crazy mansion, he just really wasn’t too sure how different things really were.
“Tell me what happened Mathias, it might ease whatever you’re feeling.”
The Turk’s words echoed in his head again. He didn’t really want to share, because naturally, Mathias was always the grin and bear it type, rather than the one to talk a lot about his feelings, even if they were ones of extreme worry for his friends. Or that he couldn’t stop worrying about them, or that the people he knew being in close danger didn’t freak him out in the slightest.
With a sigh, he pulled away from the Turk and flopped onto his back in the dying grass. He began to search the sky for a trace of sunlight. So there were monsters in this place. Attacking monsters too? That was just… awful. Something told him Finland and Norway had seem some of those. And as for the others? Well he couldn’t honestly say. He didn’t ask. His mind had been focused on other things. Like… like it was now to be honest. Trying to find the sunshine in an endless sea of clouds.
“It’s nothing Turkey, to be honest, I guess this mansion has just gotten to them… well maybe not all of them. Antonio seemed to be pretty okay, and you don’t seem to be bad… My Nordic friends didn’t seem to be well off though. I guess that isn’t their fault, maybe they’ll get better once we get out of here, right?” He smiled sadly to himself, his hands tucked neatly behind his neck, “We should just focus on getting out of here with the others first, right?”
Hell. After all, it was just a stupid house. Whether it was haunted or not, didn’t make the circumstances any different. There had to be a way to get out, and even if Denmark wasn’t all that clever, he’d find a way out by brute force alone. Even if force wasn’t always the answer, and he had been told that many times in his lifetime by many, many people, he didn’t think he’d ever stop using it as the solution to almost everything.
Well. Things like this anyway. Even though he had calmed down quite a bit over the years, that didn’t stop him from occasionally having his wild streak. This place was practically begging for his wild side, and something told him that it wouldn’t be long until he would be seeing it.

Standing there for a minute in silence, Sadiq realized that he had made the other uncomfortable with his actions. With his own need to ensure that the other was there, and then feeling the Mathias’s distress, some part of his mind went into brotherly mode with an unconscious slip that made him act like he would with his own brother. His friend was distressed that was the only way his brotherly self knew how to handle it. Well, he would have to watch that and make sure he didn’t kiss his friend on the forehead again, best to stick with hugging, that was safe territory. Hearing Mathias speak, he patted him on the shoulder.
“Well, that’s good it was the handle then. With this place, I’m not sure we would have revived. I mean, it’s taken away our ability to heal and reduced us to normal humans. I’m not connected to my people anymore. So….Where was I going with this? Oh, it’s a good thing it was the handle.”
He patted the others shoulder again before he Mathias pulled away and sat back in the grass, a thoughtful expression on his face. Sitting down across from him, he looked thoughtful as he heard about the other Nordics. This troubled him greatly. None of the Nations had good pasts, it was inevitable with human actions. Human’s only suffered with their decisions for the span of their short lives, or perhaps the choices only lasted a few generations before something new happened, the Personifications of these Nations had to deal with the human’s choices of war, death and despair for the rest of the Nations lives…or longer. Shaking his head, he brought his thoughts back to the Nordics. He knew they had bloody histories full of death and suffering and any number of things that had bloodlust that could have left them all permanently mad, and to hear a good number of them were succumbing to the evil effects of the manor….. a chill tingled on his skin that had nothing to do with the temperature outside. Whether it was just his imagination taking control or a feeling of foreboding, he knew one action had to be taken.
“We have to get everyone out of the Manor and hope that once their back in the influence of their Nations, the minds will start returning to them.” Moving his head to look at the building that stood like blight on the land, he let his mind wander a bit. When things were a blight, a threat to survival, they had to be taken out… but how to do it was the question. Shaking his head, he turned back to Mathias and cocked his head to the side, only half looking at him and half at a spot behind his head. “How are you fairing with this place Mathias. Have you noticed it starting to influence you yet?” He kept a close eye on Mathias, for if this evil house had its hooks in the other, he was taking his life into his own hands with this question.

“Yeah..! Yeah it is good that it was the handle… I wouldn’t want to hurt him… We are way past the point of randomly beating up countries just for control and land, hunh?” Mathias let out a chuckle, not really sure where this conversation was going until the Turk began to talk once again.
“We have to get everyone out of the Manor and hope that once their back in the influence of their Nations, the minds will start returning to them How are you fairing with this place Mathias? Have you noticed it starting to influence you yet?”
Well of course he had noticed. It was driving him crazy that he couldn’t leave. It was making him mad that he couldn’t find his friends and hell, when he did find his friends, they were either delusional, becoming delusional, or barely hanging on physically. Then they’d be get separated ten minutes later somehow. So yeah. This mansion had definitely taken its toll on Mathias. But… he could take it. He was a grown boy.
He had been through so much worse than this mansion could ever hope to throw at him!! Or at least that is what he told himself. He hadn’t run into anything that he couldn’t take in this place. He doubted he would either. Maybe he had too much self-confidence, but he was a strong fighter, and not only that, he was a Viking!! Not only was he a Viking, but he was the strongest Viking!! Out of Sweden, Norway, and him, he was pretty sure he could kick their asses any day of the week. Of course he had been told many times that this attitude would lead to his downfall, and he was almost certain that it actually did, but either way he wasn’t going to stop now!
“... I guess so.” Mathias bit his lip, “I’m more worried about my friends than me! I guess they aren’t faring so well in this place…” The Dane glanced upwards at the gaunt and dark old manor. He wondered where his other friends were now. He hoped they were feeling okay.
“Just look at that stupid building Turkey. What makes it so different from other buildings!?” He placed his hands on his head in frustration, “If I set it on fire wouldn’t it burn down? Has anyone even tried that!?” Mathias was pacing back and forth. All this thinking was hurting his head. He really just wanted to lie down and sleep.
…And get a proper meal.
Where was all the food in this stupid fucking place anyway!?
Mathias let out an audible groan. Of course someone has tried to burn the building down. He wasn’t the only nation capable of thinking. And according to Sweden and Norway, he never thought and acted only on raw instinct. Well, if they still thought that after all these years, they had a lot to learn about him.
Letting out another groan, the Dane once again fell onto his back, patting the ground next to him for Sadik to join him.
“I guess we can just lay here together while then coast is still clear the hunh?”

“We are way past the point of randomly beating up countries just for control and land, huh?” “That we are… now a days we beat up other countries just cause they piss you off and to relieve stress.” Sadiq had to laugh at that; obviously he meant him and Greece. They fought like cats and dogs, but in times of need, they helped each other out. They had that kind of understanding with each other. Or hell, even him and Lars. They didn’t like each other, but it seemed like they had an understanding of sorts; at least he liked to think so. Shaking his head some, he smiled. Believe it or not, he actually missed both of them. Heh, who would have ever thought he would have ever missed the lard bucket.
“I’m glad you’re holding up well and managing to stay true to yourself . Its hard to do that here, where the evil intentions seep into your head and mess with your emotions….able to revert you to your most hated days, or just make you lose it and become someone unrecognizable to even your own close friends.” Shaking his head, he sighed and shrugged. He didn’t mean to mention that…he had been thinking of his own slide back to his own violent behavior with Feliciano. He hopped that he hadn’t depressed Mathias with that. “Er, sorry about that, I’ll drop it now if you want. I didn’t mean anything by it. And it is a stupid building, but then, all buildings themselves are stupid. But it’s the ideas of men, who give it meaning, the reason behind it. Like with our temples and homes. Just stupid buildings. But with intent behind them. …where was I going with this….I have got to stop going on deep thinking things, I confuse myself.”
“I guess we can just lay here together while then coast is still clear the hunh?”
He watched Mathias lay down on the grass and joined him. There was nothing else for him to do, why not spend more time bonding with his friend. “You should try laying out and watching the stars out in the desert. Its beautiful. I think you would like it Mathias.”

“That we are… now a days we beat up other countries just cause they piss you off and to relieve stress.”Mathias had to laugh at that. He couldn’t say he really beat Sweden up all that much anymore, but there were times that he got into fights, and hell, Mathias still teased the other for really… just about everything. He wasn’t sure if this could really be considered their special kind of friendship, but he didn’t care, it was still true that the two of them constantly messed with each other. “I’m glad you’re holding up well and managing to stay true to yourself. It’s hard to do that here, where the evil intentions seep into your head and mess with your emotions….able to revert you to your most hated days, or just make you lose it and become someone unrecognizable to even your own close friends.”Wow. That was certainly deep. Mathias had always been the kind of person to not let things like a crazy haunted mansion get to him… or so he had been doing a pretty good job so far. He was usually the expert at staying optimistic, or so that was what he told himself, as well as why he was pretty sure others got irritated with him as well. But it didn’t matter. So far he was keeping his hopes up that he wouldn’t lose control of himself. Ever. The entire time he was here. …where was I going with this….I have got to stop going on deep thinking things, I confuse myself.”Denmark didn’t mind. He knew he could do the exact same thing. Except maybe the things he said weren’t so deep. He had never been much of a deep thinker. Or rather, he could be when he was thinking alone… but that was mainly his ideas just taking the better of him or something like that. He wasn’t really sure if that was considered deep thinking. A small smile formed across the Dane’s face as the other joined him on the ground. Good. Hopefully with the both of them there, they could afford to let down their guards just a bit. Maybe more than just a bit. Maybe even enough to get a bit of comfortable shut eye. Mathias couldn’t remember the last time he had slept soundly. At least since the day he arrived the decrepit old place for sure. But maybe… “You should try laying out and watching the stars out in the desert. It’s beautiful. I think you would like it Mathias.”Mathias looked over at his friend, before looking at the sky. He supposed overcast was pretty too. Nowhere never as pretty as pure stars with minimal light pollution. Didn’t get much of that in Denmark, unless you were in the countryside, which to be honest wasn’t very desert like. “Hahaa, yeah that sounds amazing. The stars in Sweden’s, Norway’s, and Iceland’s homes are pretty cool too. The Northern lights are nothing to sneeze at.” With that, Mathias shut his eyes and tucked his arms behind his neck as a makeshift pillow. Man, he could just fall asleep right here… And so he did.
