Sitting on a bench in the courtyard of the resort, he could only stare at the flowers, lost in thought. This was odd for the Turkish man to do, as he was usually so vivacious and full of life. Instead, he sat still, not moving, eyes locked on a single flower. Most wouldn't be surprised at the flower, for he was a Nation that had a long history with flowers. But what would surprise most people was that he didn't even notice the flower; all of his thoughts were turned towards the more recent past. Memories of his actions danced in front of his eyes, sights to him alone had the power over him. Frightened eyes had locked him in place while a feeling of the life draining out of him near stopped his heart. He would never forget that time, but he would always want to.
That time spent in America's deep south had taught him nothing, nothing more than just a reminder of how cruel they could all be, of how easily it was to be influenced into actions that were typically outside of the realm of normal behavior. They were all awakened to the brutal reality that they all had known before this modern era. And the worst thing... most of them knew what they were doing during the time and, if not rejoiced... didn't put of much of a fight as they should have.
But that's what this new place was for, wasn't it? Sadiq had been horrified to find out it was only the First of November. Had all of the years he had spend running around the cursed property really have taken place in only a day? Could all of the negativity and hope and the breaking of the spell really had happened in a twenty four hour period? It has hard to believe, but all the pain and suffering had only been in a short period of time... at least in the normal world. They knew... they all knew that the house they had been in had something... time shifty going on about it. whether it was a parallel universe or the time was just stretched somehow.. they knew that they had spent a lot longer than a single day in the house.
Sighing, Sadiq looked up and around. This place was meant to heal the hurt they had all experienced. There bosses had been near frantic when they all were paranoid and hostile towards others... or at least Sadiq's had. He had essentially ordered him to come to this... retreat when others had contacted him and informed him about it. That was how Sadiq knew he needed to meet with people here and try to work the hurts and the betrayals out again. He just had to find someone to approach or wait for one to approach him.
After all, if the past isn't learned from, its doomed to be repeated.
