It was very hard to tell how she was feeling at that exact moment. The lively glimmer that was once in her eyes dulled and was lacquered with a coat of ambiguity. Her eyes half lidded, her pouty lips slightly parted as if to speak, but no words escaped under her breath. She primmed her lips to a small half-smile. "Devote every waking moment? That's..." A chuckle. The way she wrinkled her nose and laughed, it seemed as if she thought his response was ludicrous.
"Perfect." She finished in a small breath with a hint of subtle joy.
But the boy came.
Emil rolled his eyes impatiently as he waited for Sadiq to finish up his little antics. Once he was able to pry him off of that woman, he lead him outside in the moonlit balcony where they were surprisingly a lot less people. The vista included a shroud of blue and black fog. The only light that illuminated the night in a blanket of blue was the moon's glow
"Look," He turned around after being rudely addressed. Emil could feel the heat in his veins already. "The only thing I don't deserve is tolerating your stupidity." In one swift movement, Emil curled his fist and then gave Sadik a hook punch right at the cheek. While the older man was recovering from the blow, he curtly continued, "I hope you're back to your damn senses because everything that is going on is annoying as fuck/. While you were flirting back their, talking like a fool, I have been running around trying to figure things out. You want to know what I learned?"
He exhaled through his nose as he grumbled. "That woman there--she's the reason why we're trapped here. Don't you remember the manor at all--America's stupid party?"

Sadiq let himself be pulled along, away from the mysterious beautiful, but dangerous lady. Past the other dancers, past the candles on the wall that cast shadows that seemed to grown and dim of their own accord, past the rest of the servants that watched them with malice in their eyes, past all of these things that were a part of this musical world that wanted to keep the woman happy. He followed the younger male out on the balcony and stood there, waiting to see what this boy hat to say to him. He was determined to get back to the woman and continue to make her smile. Though he did like to spend time out of doors, get a breath of fresh air after breathing in all dust that had been inside. A slightly confused look came to his eyes, not that anyone could see them of course. Why would it be dusty inside, it looked perfectly clean, not a speck to be seen anywhere. Taking another deep breath in, he looked at the man who had brought him out there and was curious to see that the moon lighting up the icy blood hair, making it almost glow as the light was reflected off of it. The voice interrupted his thoughts and made him focus on the man in front of him again.
”Look, the only think I don’t deserve is tolerating your stupidity.”
Unprepared for what happened next, he staggered a bit as the fist met his face. His mask clattered to the ground and left a brief silence in his wake as before the man started talking again.
"That woman there--she's the reason why we're trapped here. Don't you remember the manor at all--America's stupid party?"
Lifting a hand to rub at his cheek where he had been hit, Sadiq growled in response. “Why you lil shit, what ya hit me for? Damn, when you learn how to punch like that Icy? I think that’s gonna bruise.” Looking around while still rubbing his cheek a bit, he sighed as he saw the people still inside dancing and heard the music still playing inside the room, and slightly inside his head. Seemed like the hit had managed to throw some disharmony into the mix and cancel out some of the music. “I opened the music box didn’t I?” He leaned down to pick up his mask as he waited on the other to answer him, proud that the other had actually hit him. If anyone would have bothered to look, his green eyes were no longer cloudy and hallow looking, but were filled with the life and vitality they had before.

The growl sounded like a challenge to him. Emil folded his arms menacingly before hearing the change in tone of Sadiq's voice. After Sadiq roughly spoke, the Icelander felt as if his ego grew a bit. Why of course he was feeling pretty smug, for he had just hit a man about a head higher than him. To be subtly complimented that the blow from his fist could cause a bruise made pride swell up in his chest. However he knew this wasn't the time to feel so childishly superior due to the complicated situation. Yet he still allowed a little bit of that moment of pride to shine in a form of a small smirk that graced his lips.
"I did it because you were acting dumb." He replied brusquely. "And I learned that from--" Iceland paused. Well to be honest, there was a person in his mind but he couldn't remember the name. Hastily, he continued, "--I have viking roots." That was all that really needed to be said.
He exhaled. Emil wasn't really used to handling these kind of situations, despite knowing how to overcome them. It was too much effort, really. With Sadiq barely back, Emil had really been the only viable player that could escape. "Ja, you did. And I ended up in here too..."
Glancing back towards the direction of the opulent and lively ball, Emil tried to pinpoint the location of that woman. Alas, she was no where in sight among the colorful and dancing crowd. "Who was she?" Emil asked in almost a mutter.

Rubbing his jaw with one hand, he slipped his mask back on with the other. Most people would assume that his ceramic mask was cold to the touch, as unfeeling as anyone with a mask usually tries to make themselves out to be. This mask was different though, much different than being a cold accessory. His mask, given to him when he was younger by a trusted individual, was warm, helped spread a sense of warmness and control through him. He lightly traced the mask as he thought briefly about what was going on with woman and Icy and the music and everything. Sadiq looked at Icy to help process what was being said to him. It was still hard to think beyond the music, but he could do it with enough focus.
“Stupid’s right, she’s not my type anyway, much to serious and needy. Doesn’t seem like she could be independent at all; oh, and the fact that she’s a ghost.” He turned to look over the balcony and into the shadows that surrounded the place, trying to see if the trees were really there or if this... whatever his was extended beyond the foundation of the manor. “Viking roots huh, sounds like your bro’s influence alright. Should’a known you’d be able to figure this out, smart kid ya are.”
Turning around again to look at Iceland and shook his head. “You didn’t deserve to be dragged here when I couldn’t control myself. As you seem ta know what’s going on, I’ll follow your lead.” He didn’t like to leave his safety in others hands, but he had no choice in this matter; Iceland seemed to know what he was doing, he just hopped it didn’t come crashing down around them. “The woman’s name? Ne…no, Na….thats not it…Ni-Nicoleta. Her name is Nicoleta.”

"... Which means she's dead." Emil continued blandly after Sadiq mentioned her state of being. "So I'm really sure she's not your type." He was trying to lighten the mood by being sarcastic but he caught himself on that.
He sighed; there was no use to speak any more words of folly given the serious circumstance. Deep inside, he felt as if he was treating the whole situation as a joke. However, when the older man spoke about a 'brother', Emil gave him a hard, blank stare. His pulse raced, his fingers twitching at the possibility that Turkey knew about this 'brother' figure of his. Hastily, he looked away, deciding not to say anything; no, there was not enough time to talk about that. "We'll have a talk after we get out..."
He folded his arms. "Well yeah I know I didn't deserve to be here but there's nothing I can do to change that. I'll just... figure out a way, somehow." The boy knitted his eyebrows together in thought as he pressed his lips together. True, he did know the bulk of what was going on but he didn't have too many clues about how to embark on their grand escape. "That woman then, Nicoleta, looks like she's important. I hope you weren't too stupefied enough to see the guests acting strangely around her. Do you know anything else about her?"

“If being trapped in a music box with music stuck in my head while she’s manipulating everything doesn’t point ta her being dead and a ghost, then I don’t know what does . And I like my women alive, breathing and warm with a pulse thank ya very much.” ….Alright, so he didn’t need to say that. Internally sighing, he kicked himself as he had spoken before thinking again and it turned into an ass comment… he really needed to work on that. Pinching his nose, Sadiq moved to stand by the door and looked back into the ballroom, looking as if he was bored with whatever he was talking about with the boy that had drawn his attention away from the mistress of the party. “We’ll talk about whatever you want Icy, I owe you at least that much.” He didn’t say the rest of the thought in his head that if Emil wasn’t there, who knows how long he would have been stuck here, probably forever.
Running his hand through his hair, he leaned against the door and seemed to collapse into it. He had come to a realization but he didn’t want to have to carry through with it if he was right. All the while he had listened ta Emil and nodded in agreement. “She’s the puppet master that everyone is devoted ta keeping happy. Make her mad and they respond. I get the feeling they would willingly tear us apart and the only thing keeping them from doing so is I still have her favor…..She’s used ta people leaving her, doesn’t know why people keep leaving her. I’ll see if she’ll take me on a tour of the place, see if I can get any clues. Damn, I need to keep pretending ta be enamored of her don’t I?”
